The introduction of the New Regulatory Reform Fire Safety Order 2005 in October 2006 and the responsibility for Fire Risk Assessments being placed solely with the Responsible Person(s) in your Company, make it essential for your staff to be trained to the appropriate level with regard to Fire Safety Procedures.

The Responsible Person must ensure that the workplace is safe; integral to this safety is the training and knowledge of staff working within the company.

Would your staff know:

• What to do in the event of a fire?
• Who are their designated Fire Marshals?
• How to use a fire extinguisher?
• How to account for everyone in the event of an evacuation?

.... These are some of the many questions that all staff should be able to answer.

AGF Fire Protection provides fire training tailored to your specific needs. We liaise with the Responsible Person in your company to determine your existing arrangements and integrate them into a Fire Training Course that meets your requirements. If your current provision requires re-evaluation, we will apply our experience and knowledge, working with you to create the ideal solution.

We run all our fire safety training courses on Client premises, to ensure minimal ‘out of office’ time for your employees and less disruption to your business. Our courses can also be run at any time of day or night to accommodate the needs of your business and suit shift workers and/or night staff.

Following the Fire Marshal Course a short examination will be carried out to assess the delegates’ understanding of the items covered. A report with the results of the assessments will then be forwarded to the Responsible Person / Training Co-ordinator within your Company along with Delegate Course Certificates for those who attain the minimum pass mark for your records.

All delegates attending the Fire Extinguisher Awareness Course will be issued a Course Attendance Certificate.

*Whilst we make every effort to provide ‘live fire’ training sessions for all Fire Extinguisher Awareness courses they can only be carried out in a safe area within your premises; this could be an outdoor car park area or courtyard. Should our Consultant feel that the area is not suitable for ‘live fire’ then unfortunately we cannot carry out this element of the course. As an alternative, delegates will be invited to handle the fire extinguishers and simulate their use without the discharging of the unit.
